Audience Feedback

When receiving feedback off my fellow classmates jack left a comment on my blog allowing me to know what I need to change in my magazine to make sure I get the most marks available. Jacks comment said:

"Callum, your magazine drafts is one of my favorite, it really works with your genre of music and you have a very good idea of where you are wanting to take your ideas and how you would like your finished product to look. The model on your front cover looks really good, she fits the magazine genre perfectly with a serious rock look about her. The image also has no shadow at all which really highlights some good photography and directing skills you have and it really stands pout on your page. I only have one negative and that the front cover bottom burgundy box with text inside, I think you could do with making the text bigger, or making the box smaller, but i feel you need to get remove the space which is above and below the text inside it. I hope i haven't been to picky with that but i am really looking forward to seeing your final product! Keep up with her good work!"

This comment allowed me to know that there were some good aspects on my produced pages and that also there was things that I needed to change to make sure I got the most marks possible. Jacks feedback allowed me to realise that the box on the front cover which I had designed was too big and that I needed to change the size of the box and I have done so and my front cover is now looking better.

Media Consumer Habits: Because Joe plays Rugby often he goes to gym and works out to music often and always listens to rock music while working out. Joe also travels around Leicester playing rugby for his team so he listens to a lot of the radio and his favorite radio station is Kerrang Radio as it plays rock music daily.

Audience Research

I am going to be producing a rock genre magazine so I need to be able to know who I am aiming my magazine towards. I have done research on rock magazines and have found out that it is mostly the younger generation who buy magazines all together so I am going to aim my rock magazine at young adults at the age of 16 to 24. Even though I am going to aim my magazine at the younger generation I am also aware that older people also read rock magazines so I will take into account that I need to make sure people in the age range of 26 to 30 will want to read my produced magazine.

using the website uktribes.com I have found out about the different audiences that would read my rock genre magazine and only a few tribes were selected to actually match my magazine genre. The tribes that my magazine would reach out to is the tribes such as Emo's or Goths who love to listen to heavy metal music or maybe to singers such as Marilyn Manson, these tribes are associated with the rock genre because of the clothing warn by these tribes and the stereotypes.
